Power Yoga

Power yoga is a modern fitness yoga style that is widely offered in fitness studios and is also popular with men due to its physical challenge. It is also known as Vinyasa Power Yoga because the movements are performed fluidly from one position to the next.

Bryan Kest developed it on the basis of ashtanga yoga, but removed the individual postures from the prescribed series. He has also taken the physical exercises completely out of the overall context, so that it is actually a pure fitness training, a “fitness workout”. He runs studios in California and regularly gives workshops at home and abroad.
