Krishnamacharya referred to his yoga practice simply as yoga, but he also coined the term &#8220;Vini-Yoga&#8221;, which means that the movements are less static and more flowing and adapted to the practitioner.<\/p>\n\n<p>His son T.K.V Desikachar continued this approach, which today is essentially understood as Vini-Yoga.  <strong>One principle is that the exercises in individual lessons or in small groups are always adapted to the needs and abilities of the student.  <\/strong>The individual relationship between teacher and pupil plays an important role.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The exercise practice<\/strong> is simple, calm and not very tense. Slow, flowing movements are combined with breathing.
